"Sky Collapse" is the overture of a storm to come. Not only is it the first single from Kirlian Camera's new album "Hologram Moon", but also a dark song about falling skies and seemingly hopeless scenarios. Plus, it marks the collaboration of two of the most distinguished names in dark electronic world, as Kirlian Camera work with Swedish electronic icons Covenant on the A-side version of the track, which is also a duet between singer Elena Alice Fossi and Covenant's Eskil Simonsson.

"Sky Collapse represents memories from a recent hard period during which any possible light seemed to turn into deep darkness as if everything had been lost. The sky looked as if it had collapsed just when … an unexpected ray of hope started shining on a gloomy evening. Here we are now, describing quite an ordeal with simple words and "dance on all those ruins", whether they stand for the past we briefly mentioned above or a hard future we'll have to face. "Hologram Moon" is the first Kirlian Camera album after five years in which Elena Alice Fossi and Angelo Bergamini, amongst other things, engaged in their side project SPECTRA*paris. In October 2017, the duo returned with the spectacular single "Sky Collapse", the title track of which was sung together with Covenant's Eskil Simonsson. It dominated the German Alternative Charts for several weeks and keeps heating up German dancefloors.
However, "Sky Collapse" was only a portend of something more epic. The album "Hologram Moon" shows Kirlian Camera at the peak of their turbulent career. Dependent are going to release this hypnotic masterpiece in between pop, electronics and pathos in three different formats (Digipak CD, double vinyl and limited 2CD book edition). Several compositions are bound to repeat the club success of "Sky Collapse", be it "Eyes Of The Moon", "Traveler's Testament" or "Polaris-IHS", another collaboration with Eskil Simonsson
"Hologram Moon" is also fascinating due to its lyrics. The Italians are discussing a conspiracy theory that lent the album its title, suggesting that the moon is no harmless earth satellite but a visual hologram hiding an artificial, possibly alien construct. Merely guesswork? In any case, on "Hologram Moon", Kirlian Camera engage in a subversive play with perspectives and alternative realities.

From "Hologram Moon", the deceiving emanation of a celestial body to "Hellfire" is only a small step it seems. But this link between Kirlian Cameras last successful album and their forthcoming record "Cold Pills" has undergone many changes. Originally intended as a 2nd single of "Hologram Moon", and a successor to 2017s club anthem "Sky Collapse" (performed together with Covenants Eskil Simonsson), this record has undergone a lot of iterations. At first it was planned as a limited edition single, then as a remix E.P. (Metaluna, Polar HIS), and then came … "Hellfire".
This cover version of one of the signature tracks of the TV series "Lucifer" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucifer_(TV_series) does not only show that Kirlian Camera are adapt viewers of recent Fantasy and Science Fiction tv novels, it shows them also at the peak of their creativity and arrangement skills. We know, it sounds rather not believable, coming from a record labels one-sheet but "Hellfire" is definitely among the strongest songs of Kirlian Camera's decade-long endeavor to fuse sinister and solemn arrangements into erotic electronic pop structures. The grandezza of this song makes our hairs on our arms stand up:

Extraordinary Italian band KIRLIAN CAMERA will gradually make their long out-of-stock albums available again via Dependent. Reissuing starts with the band’s 2004 modern classic "Invisible Front" on CD and limited edition vinyl for the first time.
The title "Invisible Front” can be understood musically. Well-known to be crossing borders, KIRLIAN CAMERA followed a much more electronic course on "Invisible Front", regardless of any losses. At the same time, the Italians bid farewell to previous influences in order to clearly define a unique style of their own. Rejecting labelling and easy compromises, the band embarked on an entirely personal path free from any contamination. On “Invisible Front”, KIRLIAN CAMERA drew the artistic roadmap that their core members Elena Alice Fossi and Angelo Bergamini would continue to follow ever after. This statement of creative intent got further emphasised by the fact that the album was entirely produced and sung by the duo - with the exception of the artistically natural collaboration with American performance artist and former SWANS front woman Jarboe on the song 'A Woman's Dreams' as well as a contribution by British singer and composer Loyd James from CRISIS and NAEVUS on the intro track ‘Mission Diary 1’.
KIRLIAN CAMERA's existential claim to push the musical horizon of their listeners to its limits and to constantly expand its scope also led them beyond those invisible borders. On "Invisible Front", one can find melancholic pop anthems like the amazing 'K-Pax’ as well as heavenly voices compositions ('Dead Zone in the Sky') and subversive sound collages such as ‘'K-Space Y2'.
